WYSIWYG

WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) is an important part of our design process is that we model everything in CAD right from the concept stages through to the production of technical drawings. This has a two-fold benefit:

  • At all stages the client can exactly see what the design looks like – a true WYSIWYG process.
  • 3d modelling enables us to design out conflicting issues before manufacture enabling the technical information to be more accurate and minimising the risk of complications on site.

Typically, we use screen sharing of our CAD models with our clients during the design process to work as a joint client / supplier team exploring design options and seeing their implications. These models are then also shared with our contractors to enable them to more fully understand the scheme and make fabrication easier. All our detailed and technical drawings are produced from the 3d models which ensures all changes made to the design are properly captured in the technical drawings.

Our CAD modelling can also be extremely effective with lighting, enabling us to accurately illustrate any complicated coloured light changing effects.
